    I love Lacerte; however, I am tremendously upset by the cost of each return I file as I live and work in a small town with low incomes and I haven't been able to raise my rates to keep up with the cost of living due to Lacerte constantly raising their rates (which I pass on to my clients). So I'm earning 1980 income when I should be earning 2016, etc. income. Can't raise MY rates, I would lose my clients.

    The "Ask Lacerte" feature almost always answers my questions, so I don' t need to call tech support.

    What I like about doing 1040s on Lacerte is how easy it is to navigate and how intuitive it is, in most cases. The learning curve was not bad at all. The Diagnostics are very clear and I like how I can check them off so I don't have to look at them again, just check any new ones that pop up. I like that on most input fields, I can choose to add a detail statement, a worksheet, or neither on any particular field (not a system-wide choice). Being able to mark tentative numbers and easily go back to find them is a huge help.
